THEORETICAL BACKGROUND
The Competence Profile test is based on a theoretical model which is easy to understand: HEAD-HEART-FEET
(cognitive level/ emotional level/ energy level), which looks at an individual’s approach of problems, relations with others and style of working to achieve results.
APPLICATION
The standardized competence assessment test consists in a series of questions, grouped into 80 categories, each with 4 answer options presented in a multiple-choice format. Our experience in applying this test in Romania indicates that the application time may range between 35 and 60 minutes.
The analysis enables appraisers to contrast the personal profile with the ideal profile, and allows for statistical calculations and parallels between candidates, reports on validity and accuracy, analysis of logical/illogical contradictions.
One of the advantages of Competence Profile is that it enables the employing organization to identify its own ideal profile for each particular job.
This profile may be obtained through prior testing of the best performing employees in the organization and contrasting the results with the findings from testing less efficient employees. At the end of the process, the organization receives a customized benchmark.
Where a customized benchmark is not available, the impressive Garuda database, which includes over 20,000 profiles, ensures a useful statistical point of reference. The database provides comparative information for various professional and demographic categories.
